Robber Stabs Man, Steals his Dog in Chelsea

The NYPD is searching for the man who stabbed a Chelsea dog owner and stole his Yorkie. -File Photo By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice April 23, 2024 MANHATTAN - A dog owner was stabbed in the abdomen as his Yorkie was stolen during a bizare incident in Chelsea. Police are investigating if this was a planned robbery or a random attack.  At around 1:20 pm on April 22, a 56-year-old man was walking his Yorkie on 9th Avenue in Chelsea. Cops said another man walked up to the dog walker and began arguing. He then pulled out a knife and stabbed the dog owner in the abdomen.  Cops said the attacker then scooped up the dog and ran off. Woman Raped in SoHo

Cops Looking for SoHo Rapist The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a rape inside a Soho building. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice April 22, 2024 MANHATTAN - A SoHo woman was raped and choked when an attacker followed her into the building, cops said. The NYPD has released surveillance video of the suspect in an attempt to catch the creep.  At around 4 am on April 21, a 23-year-old woman was returning to her apartment building in the vicinity of Thompson Street and Prince Street. Cops said a man dressed in a black hoodie with a red graphic on the back, followed her into the building.  Once inside the building, the attacker grabbed the woman and placed her in a chokehold. He then proceeded to rape her, cops said.  The attacker then fled on foot and was last seen heading southbound on Thompson Street.  EMS rushed the victim to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation.  Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspected rapist. Subway Groper Sought by Cops The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a sexual assault on the subway on the Upper East Side. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice April 21, 2024 MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for a creep who groped a woman as she rode the subway on the Upper East Side. At around 8:30 pm on April 12,  a 45-year-old woman was riding on a northbound Number 4 train near the 86th Street subway station when a man sat down next to her. Cops said the man began to grab the woman’s breasts. The victim jumped up and ran out of the train at the station. Cops said the attacker remained on the train. The NYPD released a cellphone photo of the suspect sitting on the train. The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion who is between the ages of 37 and 45. He is 5 feet tall and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black coat and blue jeans. Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers

Cops said an attacker randomly hacked at a woman’s legs with a hockey stick as she walked in the East Village.  At around 10:30 pm on April 9, a 26-year-old woman was walking in front of 433 East 6 Street. Cops said a man carrying a hockey stick walked up to him, and without warning struck her in the leg. Cops ID Polo Grounds Shooter

Man Gunned Down at Housing Project in the Heights  The NYPD is searching for Gekron Williams in connection with a fatal shooting at the Polo Grounds. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice  April 17, 2024  MANHATTAN - Cops have identified a suspect in the fatal shooting at the Polo Grounds in upper Manhattan.  Police are looking for 24-year-old Gekron Williams in connection with last month’s murder at a housing project in Washington Heights.  At around 10:30 pm on March 3, Kenneth Taveras was standing in the rear of a building at 2971 8th Avenue in the Polo Grounds. Cops said a man walked up to him and opened fire. Taveras was struck multiple in the chest.  The victim was rushed to Lincoln Hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.  The NYPD announced that an investigation has led cops to identify Williams as the main suspect and released the suspect’s photo.
