Police surveillance video captured images of the suspects all wearing face coverings. One of the suspects was seen wearing a bright purple balaclava. Cops say the same crew is suspected in two  Midtown robberies.  At around 6:30 am on July 16, a 54-year-old man was standing at Wollman Rink inside Central Park when he was approached by five men. One of the men displayed a crowbar and demanded cash. Cops said the victim struggled with the group of robbers. In the struggle the attackers removed $200 from the victim before running away. Both men are seen wearing t-shirts as Du-rags to cover their heads. The driver is seen wearing a store bought face mask. However. the passenger is seen using a second t-shirt to cover his face.  Cops said the the suspects struck three times in two days throughout upper Manhattan and the lower Bronx. The woman’s screams scared him off.  At around 10 pm on July 18, a woman was jogging on the bike path of Riverside Park at West 89th Street. As the 38-year-old was jogging a man rode up next to her on a bicycle. Cops said the man grabbed the jogger, threw her to the ground and sexually assaulted her by groping the woman. As the attacker tried to remove the woman’s shorts she screamed. Cops said the attacker was startled by the screaming and was scared off. He then hopped back on his bike and rode off. The victim was taken to an area hospital and was treated for minor bruises and scratches throughout the body. Mugger Punches Teen in Face, Steals His Scooter

Police are searching for a man wearing an American flag-themed shirt in connection with a mugging of a teenager for his scooter. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice July 20, 2023 MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for a Star Spangled mugger who punched a kid in the face and stole his scooter near Gramercy Park.  Police released surveillance photos of a man wearing an American flag-themed t-shirt seen walking away carrying a scooter. Cops say that scooter was viciously taken off a teenager.    At around 4:30 pm on July 15, a 13-year-old boy was riding a non-motorized scooter at 344 2nd Avenue at Peter’s Field playground. A man walked up to the teen and punched him squarely in the face. The blow knocked the child to the ground.  As the teen lay on the concrete, his attacker scooped up the scooter and ran off north on Second Avenue.  EMS treated the young victim for minor injuries at the scene.  Cops released the photos taken from a surveillance camera near the robber
