Gas Station Gunmen Drive BMW to Stickup

Police are searching for three armed robbers who drove up to a gas station in a white BMW X3 and robbed people pumping gas. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice September 15, 2023 NEW YORK - Two men were stuck up at a gas station when gunmen stepped out of a BMW with guns. At around 9:30 pm on September 6, two men were filling up at a Mobil gas station at 3750 Broadway when a white BMW X3 pulled up. Three men exited the car and pulled guns on the victims. The gunmen then took victim’s watch and property from inside their car. The gunmen then hopped back in the BMW and drove off eastbound on West 155th Street.

Elderly Woman Scammed out of 10 Grand to Bail Out ‘Grandson’

Cops said this was part of an elaborate scam to bilk the senior. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice September 14, 2023 NEW YORK - An elderly woman was bilked out of nearly $10 grand by a scammer posing as her grandson who needed quick cash to pay bail, cops said. The scam is a popular one targeting the elderly but this time cops have a photo of the suspect and a license plate number when he went to pick up the cash in person.  At around 10:30 am on August 23, a 78-year-old woman was in her Upper West Side apartment when she received a phone call from a man claiming to be her grandson. The caller said he was in jail and needed $9,500 for bail money. The victim said she would help him.  Cops said instead of having the money wired, the caller told his victim that he would have the money picked up by a courier. An hour later the “courier" met the victim in the vicinity of West 62nd Street

Columbia U Subway Beat Down

Cops are looking for a woman who beat a straphanger inside a subway train at the Columbia University station. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  September 13, 2023  NEW YORK - A subway passenger at the Columbia University station caught a beating by a fellow female straphanger who punched him in the face. Cops said the victim accidentally elbowed the attacker when the train jostled entering the station.  Police have released a cell phone photo of the tattooed and pierced suspect.  At around 8 pm on September 10, a 27-year-old straphanger was seated inside a northbound Number 1 subway car. As the train pulled into the 116 Street- Columbia University subway station, the victim accidentally elbowed the rider seated next to him.  Without warning the woman sitting next to him punched the straphanger in the face, cops said. She then hopped off the train when it arrived at the station.

Scooter Driver Hits Pedestrian in Head with Glass Bottle

Police are searching for this man in connection to an assault on a man with a glass bottle. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice September 8, 2023 NEW YORK - Cops are looking for a scooter rider who struck a man upside the head with a glass bottle in Murray Hill. At around 1:30 pm on August 14, a 24-year-old man was walking in the vicinity of East 23rd Street and 2nd Avenue. Cops said a man riding an electric scooter rode up behind the man and struck him about the head with a glass bottle. The attacker rode off in an unknown direction. The victim refused medical attention at the scene. No word on what led to the attack. The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a red hoodie and a camouflage hat. He rode a blue scooter. Union Square Rioter Wanted for Vandalizing Police Car

Police are searching for this man in connection with vandalizing a police car during the Union Square Riot. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  September 6, 2023  NEW YORK - Police are searching for a person who vandalized a police car during last month’s Union Square Riot.  Cops released surveillance video of a suspect throwing debris on a marked NYPD patrol car. The squad car was parked in the vicinity of East 19th Street and Park Avenue during the riot in Union Square on August 4.  According to police the incident unfolded at 12:30 p.m. on August 4, at Union Square in Manhattan when “influencer / gamer” Kai Cenat allegedly posted that he would be giving away free video game consoles—when all hell broke loose. As police made arrests and placed those in custody onto a bus, officers reported that a large crowd had surrounded the bus.
