At Least Two Dozen Arrested in Massive Pro-Palestinian Protest Protesters fill the roads of the Brooklyn Bridge with people and smoke, stopping traffic on the bridge. Dozens were arrested. -Twitter By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice April 16, 2024 MANHATTAN - Anti-Israel protesters shut down the Brooklyn Bridge using signs, people and smoke to snarl traffic and cause the NYPD to make dozens of arrests.  At around 3 pm yesterday, hundreds of protesters marched from lower Manhattan onto the Brooklyn Bridge filling the roadway and snarling traffic. Protesters chanted, waved flags and lit off smoke bombs and flares, leading cops to arrest scores of protesters.  Police arrest protesters blocking traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge. - Citizen  The massive protest comes less than 48 hours after Israel was attacked by Iran during a massive drone and missile attack. The city was placed on high alert following the attack over concern of attacks on houses of worship. 

Man Slashed Buying MetroCard by Fanny Pack Wearing Attacker at Rockefeller Center

Unprovoked Attack at Busy Subway Station The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a slashing at the Rockefeller Center subway station. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice April 16, 2024 MANHATTAN - A man buying a MetroCard was slashed across the face in an unprovoked attack at the Rockefeller Center subway station, cops said.   At around 12:30 pm on April 15, a 24-year-old man was buying a MetroCard from the machine at the mezzanine of the Rockefeller Center subway station. Cops said a man ran up behind and slashed him across the face with a sharp object - possibly a knife or box cutter. The victim suffered a “severe laceration.”  The victim was rushed to Bellevue Hospital where he is listed in stable condition. The attacker ran off in an unknown direction. However, not before surveillance cameras in the station recorded an image of the suspect. 

Bronx Man Charged with Groping Teen on Manhattan Bus

Rider’s Cell Phone Pic of Perv Led to Arrest  The NYPD arrested a Bronx man in connection with the groping of a 15-year-old girl on a Manhattan MTA bus. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  April 15, 2024  MANHATTAN - Cops busted a Bronx man for allegedly groping a teenage girl riding on a Manhattan bus las month.  The NYPD announced the arrest of 27-year-old Justin Hernandez of the Bronx. He was charged with forcible touching. At around 3:30 pm on March 13, a 15-year-old girl was riding on a westbound BX11 on West 181st Street. Cops said a man riding next to the girl began groping her thigh and crotch.   Cops said the suspect got off the bus at West 181 Street and Audubon Avenue.  The NYPD released a cellphone image from inside the bus of the main suspect in the groping.

By David Greene Manhattan Voice April 15, 2024 MANHATTAN - The New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) has approved E-Cargo bikes on city streets after establishing new safety standards and guidelines. DOT Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez announced that the agency has approved the use of E-Cargo bikes and establishing key safety standards that will make bike deliveries safer and reduce the number of large delivery trucks. Upon the announcement Mayor Eric Adams said, "For too long, large trucks have been the only option, bringing congestion and pollution with them. Teen Nabbed for Subway Stabbing

Man Stabbed in Back on Midtown Train  The NYPD has made an arrest in the stabbing of a staphanger inside a Lexington Avenue subway car. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  April 12, 2024  MANHATTAN - Cops arrested a Queens man in the stabbing of a straphanger inside a Manhattan subway car.  Police arrested 18-year-old Angelo Rivera of Queens. He was charged with attempted murder and assault.  At around 4:45 am on April 7, a 34-year-old man was riding on a northbound E train. As the train approached 53rd Street and Lexington Avenue, three unknown men approached the victim and began arguing with him. Cops said the dispute escalated and turned physical, with the man trying to fend off his attackers.  Cops said one of the attackers pulled out a knife and repeatedly stabbed the victim in the back.  Once the train stopped at the station, the attackers fled.  The victim was rushed to Bellevue Hospital where he is listed in stable c

Steal $35K Gold Chain The NYPD is searching for these two men in connection with a robbery in which the victim was whipped with a belt for his $35,000 gold chain. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  April 11, 2024  MANHATTAN - Two muggers whipped a restaurant goer with a belt during a robbery in which they stole the victim’s $35,000 gold chain, cops said.   At around 4:30 am on March 16, a 33-year-old male was exiting a restaurant on East 11th Street in NoHo. Cops said two men ran up behind him and one of the suspects began whipping him with a belt. Then the attackers began repeatedly punching and kicking the victim.  The attackers then ripped the victim’s chain off his neck and fled south on Lafayette Street.  EMS rushed the victim to Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.   Cops said the victim’s chain was valued at $35,000.   The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspected attackers.  The first
