Large Group Beats Teen for His Clothes at Columbus Circle Station The NYPD is searching for a group of at least 13 suspects who participated in an assault and robbery at the Columbus Circle subway station. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice March 21, 2024 MANHATTAN - A group of at least 13 men and women beat a teen for his coat, kicks and cell at the Columbus Circle station, cops said.  At around 1:15 am on March 20, a 19-year-old male was on the northbound platform of the D Train at the 59 Street-Columbus circle subway station. As he waited for a train, a group of 13 males and at least two females approached him and engaged him in conversation.   Cops said the group then began beating on the straphanger. Multiple members of the group began punching and kicking the victim. Random Attack in Lower Manhattan Leaves Man with Serious Injuries  The NYPD is searching for this man for a beating in lower Manhattan during an apparent random attack. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  March 20, 2024  MANHATTAN - A man is recovering after a vicious random attack in lower Manhattan left him with a broken nose and a fractured eye socket, the NYPD announced.  At around 7:30 pm on March a 41-year-old man was walking in lower Manhattan when he was approached by a disheveled man with a long beard. Without warning, the bearded man began punching the victim in the face over and over again, cops said.   The attacker then ran away in an unknown direction. The victim was rushed by EMS to New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital.  Cops said the victim suffered a broken nose and a fractured eye socket in the attack.  The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect. Rape Suspect Turns Self in to Police

Harlem Rape Suspect Surrenders  Quamae Taylor, 32, turned himself in to police in connection with a rape in Harlem, cops said. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice March 19, 2024 MANHATTAN - A man wanted in connection with a rape inside a woman’s Harlem apartment was arrested after turning himself in to police, the NYPD said.  Quamae Taylor, 32, surrendered with his lawyer at Manhattan Special Victims Unit yesterday. The Queens man was charged with rape and sexual abuse.  At around 4:30 am on March 10, a 34-year-old woman was in her Harlem apartment. According to police the suspect forced his way into the apartment and proceeded to rape her.  Police had identified Taylor after an investigation and released his photo and info to the press. Taylor is said to be “acquainted” with the victim prior to the incident. 

Fashion Conscious Crooks Choke Man Near Port Authority

Muggers Steal Man’s Clothes The NYPD is searching for these men in connection with a mugging near the Port Authority. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice March 19, 2024 MANHATTAN - A trio of muggers choked a man for his clothes near the Port Authority bus terminal, the NYPD announced. At around 2:30 am on March 4, a 23-year-old man was standing in front of 355 West 39 th  Street, a block away from the Port Authority bus terminal. Cops said three men ran up to him and put the victim in a chokehold. While the man struggled, the other attackers repeatedly punched him.  Cops said the muggers forcibly removed the victim’s jacket, hat and sunglasses. They then ran off in an unknown direction.  EMS transported the victim to Lenox Healthplex Hospital where he was listed in stable condition. 

Teen Girl Sexually Assaulted on MTA Bus, Cops Say

Perv Groped Teen on Bus in Upper Manhattan The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with the groping of a teenage girl on an MTA bus. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice March 18, 2024 MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for the man who groped a teenage girl as she rode a bus home from school in Upper Manhattan, the NYPD announced.  At around 3:30 pm on March 13, a 15-year-old girl was riding a westbound BX11 on West 181st Street. Cops said a man riding next to the girl began groping her thigh and crotch.   Cops said the suspect got off the bust at West 181 Street and Audubon Avenue. 

Bodega Worker Stabbed Trying to Stop Shoplifters

Shoplifters Stab Worker During Grocery Store Robbery on Malcolm X Boulevard  The NYPD is searching for five males who shoplifted a store in Harlem. Cops said one of the shoplifters stabbed a bodega worker who tried to stop them. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice March 17, 2024 MANHATTAN - A Manhattan bodega worker is recovering after being stabbed in the abdomen when he tried to stop a group of shoplifters, the NYPD said.  At around 3 pm on March 12, a 35-year-old employee was working inside a bodega at 701 Lenox Avenue (Malcolm X Boulevard). Cops said five males walked into the store and started removing soda, chips and cakes from the store shelves without paying. The group then tried to leave the store, but the clerk chased after them and cornered one of the group.  Cops said as the clerk argued with one of the shoplifters, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the worker in the abdomen.  As the employee slumped over trying to stop the bleeding, the man

Woman’s Body Found Stuffed Inside Bag in Kips Bay

Gruesome Discovery During Wellness Check Eerily Similar to Bronx Dismember Case A wellness check led cops to the body of a woman stuffed inside a duffel bag in her apartment, cops said. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice March 15, 2024 MANHATTAN - A wellness check on a Kips Bay woman led cops and family members to a gruesome discovery - her body stuffed inside a bag in the apartment, the NYPD said. The discovery is eerily reminiscent of last week’s Bronx dismemberment case.  At around 4:30 pm on March 14, cops from the 17th Precinct responding to a wellness check proceeded to Nadia Vital’s  apartment at 206 East 31st Street in Kips Bay. The family had called police when they had not heard from Nadia for several days.  Inside a closet in the apartment cops discovered a large bag. Peering inside the bag, cops found Vital’s body. It was not apparent what was the cause of the 52-year-old’s death. The Medical Examiner is investigating.  The discovery of Vital is eerily
