MANHATTAN - A man wanted in connection with a rape inside a woman’s Harlem apartment was arrested after turning himself in to police, the NYPD said. 


Quamae Taylor, 32, surrendered with his lawyer at Manhattan Special Victims Unit yesterday. The Queens man was charged with rape and sexual abuse. 



At around 4:30 am on March 10, a 34-year-old woman was in her Harlem apartment. According to police the suspect forced his way into the apartment and proceeded to rape her. 


Police had identified Taylor after an investigation and released his photo and info to the press. Taylor is said to be “acquainted” with the victim prior to the incident.

MANHATTAN - A trio of muggers choked a man for his clothes near the Port Authority bus terminal, the NYPD announced.

Cops said Taylor has a previous conviction for weapons possession in 2014. He served five years in prison.
