MANHATTAN - Police have arrested a man in connection with the rape and choking of a woman inside a SoHo building.
Police arrested 30-year-old Ellow Williams of Catherine Slip near the Brooklyn Bridge. He was charged with rape, strangulation, stalking, sex abuse, robbery, burglary, coercion and criminal possession of a firearm.
At around 4 am on April 21, a 23-year-old woman was returning to her apartment building in the vicinity of Thompson Street and Prince Street. Cops said a man dressed in a black hoodie with a red graphic on the back, followed her into the building.

Once inside the building, the attacker grabbed the woman and placed her in a chokehold. He then proceeded to rape her, cops said.
The attacker then fled on foot and was last seen heading southbound on Thompson Street.
EMS rushed the victim to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation.
