MANHATTAN - A serial bank robber struck out after trying to unsuccessfully rob three banks in Midtown, cops said.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect who tried to rob the three banks - two in one day.
The robber began his losing streak on February 1st. At around 1:40 pm, the suspect walked into Santander Bank on Broadway. Cops said the man passed the teller a note demanding cash but she refused.
The would-be bank robber left empty handed.

Cops said the same man struck at a Citizens Bank on 7th Avenue three hours later. He gave the teller a note demanding cash but again left empty handed.
Cops said the same man tried again weeks later. At around 5 pm on February 22, the suspect walked into Citibank on 42nd Street and handed the teller a note demanding cash. He walked out of the bank empty handed.
The suspect is described as male with a dark complexion who is 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue sweater with light green sleeves and light green sneakers.
