Trio Wanted in Vicious Midtown Attack Atop Taxi The NYPD is searching for these three individuals for a vicious attack atop a yellow taxi cab. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice September 17, 2024 Follow @x MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for a trio of suspects who beat a man on the top of a taxi cab in Koreatown.  At around 10:30 pm on September 14, a 36-year-old man was seen running through Midtown being chased by three people. Cops said the trio chased the man on Park Avenue until the victim hopped atop a yellow taxicab on East 32nd Street. That did not deter the group.  Cops said the attackers climbed atop the cab and began a vicious beating on the roof of the car. The attackers repeatedly stomped and punched the helpless victim.  The attackers then ran away in an unknown direction.  The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital where he was treated and was listed in stable condition.  The NYPD released surveillance video of the three suspects.  Anyon

Woman Nearly Raped Near Brooklyn - Battery Tunnel

Cops looking for Shirtless Suspect in Sexual Assault The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a sexual assault on the street near the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice September 16, 2024 Follow @x MANHATTAN - A woman was nearly viciously raped near the entrance to the Brooklyn - Battery Tunnel early Sunday morning, cops said. The NYPD has released surveillance video in the hope of capturing the alleged sex offender.  At around 1:25 am on September 15, a 29-year-old woman was walking in the vicinity of Joseph P. Ward Street and Washington Street. Cops said a man ran up to her, pushed her to the ground and attempted to rape her on the street.  The attacker fled on foot in an unknown direction.  The victim was treated at Lenox Health Greenwich Village Hospital where she is listed in stable condition.  The case is being investigated by the NYPD’s Special Victims Squad.  The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect.

Driver Carjacked on Upper East Side

Strong Armed Out of His SUV By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice September 16, 2024 Follow @x MANHATTAN - A group of men robbed a driver on the Upper East Side during an early morning carjacking, cops said.   At around 7 am on September 5, a 33-year-old male was behind the wheel of his 2016 Nissan Rogue parked in front 1539 Lexington Avenue, near 98th Street. Cops said four men surrounded the car and ordered him out of the SUV.  As the driver exited the vehicle, one of the carjackers ripped the cellphone out of the victim’s hands.   The robbers piled into the SUV and drove off.  However, police have released surveillance video of the four suspects.  Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at  1-800-577-TIPS  (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). Man Tried to Rape Teen in Kips Bay - Cops Say The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a sexual assault of a teen in Kips Bay. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice September 13, 2024 MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for a man wearing a “Scarface” t-shirt who is accused of trying to rape a young girl in Kips Bay. At around 3:40 am on August 28, a 13-year-old girl was walking in the vicinity of    East 29 Street and 3 Avenue. Cops said a man walked up behind her and grabbed her. As he tried to sexually assault the girl, the teen broke free. The suspect took off on foot on Third Avenue. The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital where she is    listed in stable condition. The case is being investigated by the NYPD’s Special Victims Squad. The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect. Bleeding, the victim staggered into the Christopher Street subway station for help. At around 6:17 am, a man stabbed a 45-year-old woman in the neck with an unknown sharp object. Seeking help the victim staggered into the Christopher Street subway station.  EMS rushed the victim to Bellevue Hospital where she was treated. She is listed in stable condition.  Police cordoned off the corner of Grove Street and 7th Avenue near the Christopher Street subway entrance to conduct an investigation. Woman Gunned Down in Chinatown

Mom Shot in Head During LES Robbery  -File Photo By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  September 10, 2024  Follow @x MANHATTAN - A woman was shot and killed in front of her family during a robbery inside a Chinatown condo, cops said.  Ying Zhu Liu was shot to death at around 11 pm last night inside her building at 44 Market Street.  Cops are looking for the gunmen.  Investigators say two men dressed in black and wearing ski masks tried to rob Liu’s husband. When she tried to intervene, gunfire erupted and the 57-year-old wife and mom was shot in the head.   The gunmen fled the building with the husband’s cell phone.  Liu was pronounced dead at the scene.  Cops did not give a description of the gunmen.  Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at  1-800-577-TIPS  (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
