MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for the man who stabbed a woman in the neck in Greenwich Village this morning. Bleeding, the victim staggered into the Christopher Street subway station for help.


At around 6:17 am, a man stabbed a 45-year-old woman in the neck with an unknown sharp object. Seeking help the victim staggered into the Christopher Street subway station. 


EMS rushed the victim to Bellevue Hospital where she was treated. She is listed in stable condition. 


Police cordoned off the corner of Grove Street and 7th Avenue near the Christopher Street subway entrance to conduct an investigation.


Cops are in the process of interviewing witness so details are sketchy. However, cops are looking into the possibility that the attack was related to domestic violence.


The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion who is 5 foot 7. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black shirt.
