The case is being investigated as a possible hate crime. At around 6 pm on July 13, a 70-year-old man was walking on West Drive in Central Park on the Upper West Side. Cops said a man riding a bike rode up behind him and began arguing. Suddenly the bike rider punched the elderly man in the upper body. The attacker made an anti-Semitic remark before riding off. The victim sustained minor injuries but was not hospitalized. The case is being investigated by the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force.
