At around 4:30 pm on May 25, a 35-year-old man was riding a southbound A Train when he was approached by a man. Cops said without warning the suspect grabbed the straphanger by the throat and began punching the victim in the chest. As he assaulted the victim, cops said, the attacker made anti-LGBTQ slurs. When the train stopped the attacker ran out of the subway and the station in an unknown direction. The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
