MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for a man wearing a “Scarface” t-shirt who is accused of trying to rape a young girl in Kips Bay.
At around 3:40 am on August 28, a 13-year-old girl was walking in the vicinity of East 29 Street and 3 Avenue. Cops said a man walked up behind her and grabbed her.
As he tried to sexually assault the girl, the teen broke free. The suspect took off on foot on Third Avenue.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital where she is listed in stable condition.
The case is being investigated by the NYPD’s Special Victims Squad.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect.
The suspect is described as a male who is 6 foot 2 and
has dark complexion and dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black t-shirt, dark colored pants and black and white sneakers.
