Woman, 85, Mugged for $30- NY News

Police are asking for the public’s help in trying to track down a heartless mugger who attacked an 85-year-old woman on the Lower East Side. 


At around 1:20 pm on November 18, an 85-year-old woman was approached by a man on the corner of Madison Street and Gouverneur Street in the Vladek Houses. The hoodie-clad mugger, grabbed her purse knocking the elderly woman to the ground. He then took off with the purse, which cops say, only contained $30. 


The woman suffered fractures to her left elbow and shoulder. She was taken by EMS to New York Downtown Hospital. 


Police released surveillance video of the suspect taken from inside the lobbby of 640 Water Street.

At around 11:20 pm on May 28, a 21-year-old man was riding an elevator with a masked man inside an apartment building at 2405 1st Avenue.
