Homan, who President Donald Trump has placed in charge of his deportation efforts, is set to meet with Mayor Eric Adams Thursday — three days after the Department of Justice requested federal prosecutors drop corruption charges against the mayor citing a need for his assistance on immigration enforcement. City Hall Moves to Wind Down Separate Shelter System for Migrants

By  Gwynne Hogan NEW YORK - City Hall is moving to return control of all shelter operations to the Department of Homeless Services by June of 2026, THE CITY has learneed, including those housing asylum-seeking immigrants. By Gwynne Hogan NEW YORK - As former president Donald Trump rails against a supposed “migrant invasion” and vows the “ largest deportation effort in American history ” if he returns to the White House, the message is shaking migrants who have already made it to New York City.
