The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with an assault on a straphanger in the Flatiron District. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice March 26, 2025 MANHATTAN - The NYPD is looking for a man dressed as if he was going to the office or an author reading instead of a violent assault that wounded a straphanger in the Flatiron District.  At around 11 pm on March 17, 55-year-old man was at the turnstiles inside the 23rd Street Station Subway when he was approached by a man in a pink shirt who asked the straphanger to swipe his MetroCard to allow him to enter the turnstile. When the man refused the deadbeat attacked.  Cops said the suspect pushed the straphanger to the ground causing him to strike his head on the metal turnstile.  The attacker then fled the subway station.
