DOT Promotes Bike Riding Manhattan Voice October 8, 2024 Follow @x NEW YORK - New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez announced more than 15 events happening this October to encourage the continued growth of cycling in the city and promote the mode as a fun, fast, and healthy way to get around. “Biketober is a reminder that cycling is a sustainable, healthy, and fun way to get around—and it can also be the fastest!” said NYC DOT Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez. “These events help promote safe riding and build support for cycling in underserved communities.
