Attacker Slashes Man’s Throat in Bowery Laundromat

MANHATTAN - A man is recovering after having his throat slashed in a Bowery laundromat. Police have not revealed a motive for the attack.



At around 8:43 am on May 17, a 37-year-old man was inside the Wash Rite Laundromat on East 4th Street. Cops say an unknown man walked up behind him and slashed the man across the neck within an unknown object. 




The attacker ran out of the laundromat and southbound on 1st Avenue. 





The victim was rushed to Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital where is listed in stable condition. 




Police released surveillance video of the suspect. He is 5 foot 8 with a medium to dark complexion, slim build and curly hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and gray shorts.
