Groper Grabs Woman, Steals Her Phone

MANHATTAN - A woman was groped and robbed in broad daylight as she walking in Midtown South. 




At around 4:45 pm on April 23, a 26-year-old woman was walking in front of 985 Avenue of the Americas. A man ran up behind her and grabbed her buttocks. When the woman turned to face her attacker, the groper grabbed her cell phone and ran off. 




Cops say the man fled westbound on West 36th Street. 




Police released surveillance video of the suspect who is said to be between the ages of 30 and 40 years old. He is 5 foot 6 with a dark complexion and a slim build.



The suspect was last seen wearing a brown scarf, dark green jacket, dark green pants, and white sneakers. He was last seen carrying a yellow book bag.
