Man Beaten with Speaker at Times Square Subway Station

MANHATTAN - A Manhattan man was beaten with a portable speaker by two men on the subway platform at the 42nd Street and Times Square Station last week. 





At around 9 pm on May 9, a 38-year-old man was waiting on the northbound platform of the N/R train at the 42nd Street and Times Square subway station. Cops say the man got into an argument with two men playing music on the platform. Then one of the suspects hit the straphanger upside the head with a portable speaker. 





The attackers fled the platform and ran out of the station. Cops said they were seen topside running on Broadway. 





The victim was rushed to Bellevue Hospital where he is listed in stable condition. 




Police released surveillance video taken from inside the subway station. 



The first suspect is described as a man who is 5 foot 7, 150 pounds with a light complexion. He was last seen wearing sunglasses, a blue jacket, and blue jeans. He was last seen carrying a blue book bag. 





The second suspect is described as a man with a light complexion who is 5 foot 7 and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing sunglasses, a black hat, black hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans. He was last seen carrying a gray book bag and a black speaker.
