Million Dollar Heist During Home Invasion in West Village

MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for a pair of home invaders who stole nearly $1.4 million in jewelry and and cash from an elderly West Village man’s apartment. 




At around 11 pm on May 6, two men forced their way into the apartment of a 72-year-old man living in a building in the vicinity of Morton Street and Bleeker Street. 




Inside the apartment the crooks took $90,000 cash. Then they took watches and jewelry valued at around $1.3 Million.




The robbers fled the building and jumped into a black Jeep Grand Cherokee. The jeep was last seen heading eastbound on Bleeker street.  





The victim did not sustain any injuries. 




Police released not only surveillance video of the suspects but of the suspected getaway vehicle.
