Thief Steals Thousands in Electronics from Garment District Apartment

MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for a thief who walked into a Garment District apartment building and out with thousands of dollars worth of electronics during a daylight burglary.
At around noon on April 19, cops say a man walked into a residential building in the vicinity of West 35th Street and 9th Avenue in the Garment District. Once inside the building, the thief found an unlocked apartment door. He made his way inside the apartment and removed various electronics. Cops said the items taken are valued at $4,500.
The suspect then walked out of the building without incident and walked away with his stolen merchandise.
Police released surveillance video of a man wanted in connection with the burglary. The suspect was dressed like a man heading to the office wearing a sports coat and a back pack. He wore a navy blue Seattle Seahawks baseball cap and was holding a water bottle.
