MANHATTAN - A man was shot while sitting in his car outside Little Italy. The victim managed to drive himself to an area hospital, cops said.



At around 12:30 am on June 2, a man was sitting in his parked car in front of 51 Chrystie Street when a man approached the car. The man began arguing with the driver from the street.



Cops say the argument escalated and the man on the street pulled out a gun and fired multiple rounds the car.




The driver was shot in the left cheek and suffered a graze wound to the back of the neck.


The gunman then ran away in an unknown direction.






The victim managed to drive off and transport himself to Bellevue Hospital.


The victim is listed in stable condition.



Cops say the victim’s car suffered damage from the barrage of bullets that hit it.


Police released surveillance video of the man they believe is the gunman.



The video was shot inside a subway car. The suspect was dressed in a black hoodie with white writing on the chest. He also wore a black baseball cap with white writing. He wore black ripped jeans with writing on one of the pants legs.


He also wore black sneakers with different color laces- one shoe had red shoelaces and the other had blue laces.
