MANHATTAN - A shirtless, deranged man shoved an elderly woman to the ground and then beat her in an unprovoked attack in Herald Square, cops said.

At around 1 pm on June 10, a 75-year-old woman was crossing the street at Avenue of the Americas and West 34 Street in Herald Square. A shirtless man walked up to her and began yelling at her for no reason. Then the man pushed the senior to the ground and began kicking her, cops said.

The attacker had kicked the frail woman multiple times as she lay in the street, cops said. The shirtless attacker then ran off heading southbound on Avenue of the Americas.

The victim was taken by EMS to Mount Sinai Hospital where she is listed in stable condition.

Investigators were unable to provide a motive for the vicious assault and believe it was a random attack.

The suspect is described as a man with a dark complexion and heavy build. He is believed to be 5 foot 10 and is around 30 years old.

The suspect was last seen as shirtless with dark ripped jean pants and gray sneakers. He also wore a tan headband.
