Slipper Wearing Bandit Robs Dunkin Donuts Near Penn Station

MANHATTAN - A slipper wearing suspect wearing a “Love is Love” t-shirt is being sought by police for allegedly sticking up a Dunkin’ Donuts near Penn Station. 




At around 9:30 pm on June 13, a man walked into a Dunkin’ Donuts store on 9th Avenue across from Penn Station. The man dressed in slippers and black socks put his hand inside a grey and red Target tote bag and stated that he had a weapon, cops said.


 

According to police the man walked behind the counter with his hand in the tote bag, simulating that he had a weapon, and demanded cash from the register. The cashier opened the register and handed over $160 in cash.  



Cops said the suspect exited the store, hopped on a bicycle and drove off westbound on West 33rd Street in the direction of 10th Avenue. 



The suspect is a male with a medium complexion, with a thin build and is between 30 and 40 years of age. 


No injuries were reported in the robbery. 




Cops released surveillance video of the suspect who was seen both wearing and not wearing a baseball cap. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with the words “Love is Love” across the chest in white lettering. He wore gray shorts, black socks and gray slippers. He carried a grey and red Target tote bag. 


The suspect has a tattoo along the right forearm and another on the left arm. 



In one of photos the suspect was seen wearing a black and yellow baseball cap.
