MANHATTAN - A Manhattan woman was left rubbing her swollen eyes and scratching her head trying to figure out why a woman pepper sprayed her in the face while waiting for a subway train at the Lincoln Center station platform.

Cops released what appears to be a cell photo camera photo of the suspect. In the photo the woman is pressing her finger on an object attached to her key chain. Cops said that object was a pepper spray dispenser.

At around 3 pm on July 17, a 68-year-old woman was standing on the subway platform of the Number 1 train at the West 66th Street and Lincoln Center station. The woman was talking to a group of females at the platform. Cops said the suspect told the victim to “mind her business” before spraying her in the face with pepper spray.

The suspect fled the subway station and ran off in an unknown direction.

The victim was treated by EMS on the scene. Cops said the suspect is a woman in her 20s with a light complexion. She is 5 foot 4 with a heavy build. She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with the words "sold out" on it, black pants, and white, black and grey sneakers.
