Woman Attacks with Metal Scooter in Chelsea

MANHATTAN - The NYPD is investigating an alleged random attack in Chelsea in which a woman beat a pedestrian with a metal scooter without a clear motive.



The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect seen with the metal scooter at the scene of the attack.


At around 2 pm on October 25, a 55-year-old man was crossing the intersection at West 34th Street and 10th Avenue. Cops said a woman walking with a metal scooter approached the man and threw the scooter at him, striking him. 


Cops said she then walked up to the victim and punched him in the head.



The attacker then hopped on her scooter and fled southbound on 10th Avenue.


The victim refused medical attention at the scene.



Police released surveillance video of the suspect who is a female in her 20s with a light complexion and light hair. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants with a red backpack. She was seen on video holding an iPhone in a multi colored case and has long nails painted black with white designs.
