MANHATTAN - A deranged person threw a container of flaming liquid at a group of straphangers on a subway platform cops said.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect seen carrying two containers of flaming liquid. The suspect is seen holding the burning substance as he stood near the turnstiles.
At around 7:40 pm on February 5, a group of people were waiting on a platform for the 1 Train at the West 28th Station. Cops said the suspect walked over and threw a container of flaming liquid at the people on the platform.
No one was injured in the attack.
The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion who is around 35 years of age. He is six feet tall, 156 pounds with a slender build and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt underneath a black jacket, black pants and black sandals.
