NEW YORK -  A 96-year-old woman was sent to the hospital by a scooter riding chain snatcher, cops said. 




Police are searching for a chain snatcher who knocked an elderly woman to the ground.


At around 5:30 pm on May 24, a 96-year-old woman was walking in the vicinity of West 127th Street and 8th Avenue. A man on a black moped rode up, grabbed the woman’s necklace and dragged the elderly victim causing her to fall.



The robber rode off.


The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital where she was listed in stable condition. 



The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect seen riding the scooter.
