Shouts: ‘Hitler was Right’ The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a hate crime attack on the Upper East Side. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice August 28, 2024 Follow @x NEW YORK - Cops are investigating a hate crime attack in which a man spat into a park goer’s face and screamed “Hitler was right.” The NYPD released new surveillance video of the suspect from last month’s attack. At around 4 pm on July 27, a 65-year-old male was walking across the street from Central Park and 5th Avenue and E. 68th Street.  According to police, a man wearing a face mask walked up to the victim and began arguing. According to published reports, the suspect yelled at the victim “Hitler was right.” Cops said the attacker then lowered his face mask and spat in the man’s face and then fled on Madison Avenue. The NYPD recently released surveillance video of a young suspect seen walking on the street near the crime scene that occurred last month. At around 10 pm on July 23rd, a 23-year-old woman was inside a subway station of the Number 6 train. As she walked down the stairs to the platform a male came up behind her. Cops said the male grabbed the woman’s crotch over her clothes. The attacker then ran up the stairs and out of the station. The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion and slim build. By Amanda Torres  Health & Wellness Manhattan Voice  August 28, 2024 Follow @x NEW YORK - Heat waves have become more extreme and frequent each year, lasting longer than they used to, according to United States Environmental Protection Agency . During these rising temperatures, people are at a higher risk of experiencing heat exhaustion and heat stroke, two forms of heat-related illnesses that occur when the body is not able to cool itself down. As a result, emergency room visits due to heat-related illnesses have risen in the U.S., according to a report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). While they are serious conditions, heat exhaustion and heat stroke are preventable, says Dr. Adam Blumenberg , an emergency medicine physician at NewYork-Presbyterian and Columbia.
