Follow @xNEW YORK - Cops are investigating a hate crime attack in which a man spat into a park goer’s face and screamed “Hitler was right.”
The NYPD released new surveillance video of the suspect from last month’s attack.
At around 4 pm on July 27, a 65-year-old male was walking across the street from Central Park and 5th Avenue and E. 68th Street.
According to police, a man wearing a face mask walked up to the victim and began arguing. According to published reports, the suspect yelled at the victim “Hitler was right.”
Cops said the attacker then lowered his face mask and spat in the man’s face and then fled on Madison Avenue.
The case is being investigated by the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force.
The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing black pants, black hat and a multicolored shirt.
