Investigators released new surveillance video of the suspect.  At around 2:30 am on April 7, a 30-year-old woman was waiting on the northbound F train platform at the Rutgers Street and East Broadway subway station. A man walked up behind the straphanger and she began to walk away. The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with an assault on a straphanger in the Flatiron District. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice March 26, 2025 MANHATTAN - The NYPD is looking for a man dressed as if he was going to the office or an author reading instead of a violent assault that wounded a straphanger in the Flatiron District.  At around 11 pm on March 17, 55-year-old man was at the turnstiles inside the 23rd Street Station Subway when he was approached by a man in a pink shirt who asked the straphanger to swipe his MetroCard to allow him to enter the turnstile.
