New York City Mayor Eric Adams launched the New York City Safe Charging Accelerator to ensure safe e-bike usage and charging, and to prevent deadly lithium-ion battery fires in New York City. The attacker got into a dispute with the victim after he almost ran him over with a moped. At around 2:40 am on July 22, a man was riding a moped on the sidewalk in front of 627 9th Avenue. The moped driver bumped into a 56-year-old man who was standing in front of a bar at the location. Cops said the man confronted the moped driver and that’s when things got heated. The driver began arguing with the pedestrian. Suddenly the driver sucker punched the pedestrian knocking him to the ground unconscious. Cops said the victim’s 38-year-old friend tried to intervene. Girl, age 12, Sexually Assaulted by 2 Men - Cops Say By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice July 23, 2024 Follow @Bronxvoice1 MANHATTAN - Cops are searching for two men for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl. The NYPD released a video of the alleged suspects. Investigators released surveillance video taken from inside the lobby of an apartment building in East Harlem. Cops said the men are wanted in connection to the attack on the girl. Details are sparse. At around 6:30 pm on July 21, a 12-year-old girl was attacked by two males in the vicinity of East 113th Street and 1st Avenue.  Cops said the girl was sexually assaulted by the attackers. The girl was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The NYPD just released surveillance video of four men wanted in connection with the stabbing at the 42nd Street station. At around 11:30 pm on July 9, a 31-year-old male was riding a southbound “A” Train. Cops said at some point a verbal dispute broke out between the victim and a group of four men on the train. Suddenly the group pounced. The victim was stabbed repeatedly in the abdomen and the back.  When the train stopped the attackers ran out. Now the case is being investigated as a possible hate crime. Police released the surveillance video which shows the fire as well as the suspected arsonist.
