Follow @Bronxvoice1MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for an arsonist who set fire to an emergency vehicle from an Orthodox Jewish ambulance organization on the Lower East Side. Now the case is being investigated as a possible hate crime.
Police released the surveillance video which shows the fire as well as the suspected arsonist.

At around 11 pm on July 6, a Hatzalah emergency vehicle was parked in front of 557 Grand Street. Cops said a man walked up to the truck and intentionally started a fire at the rear of the vehicle.
The surveillance video shows the suspect crouched down at the rear of the truck on the passenger side. He is seen in the video putting something on the back passenger wheel well. Then a fire is seen glowing at the same location on the truck.
The case is being investigated by the NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force.
The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion and thin build. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, gray-colored shorts and white sneakers.
