Denzel Bimpey of the Bronx Identified as Flatiron Stabbing Victim Police canvas the area following a fatal stabbing in the Flatiron District. -Citizen App By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice December 17, 2023 MANHATTAN - A teenager was viciously stabbed to death outside a building in the Flatiron District, cops said. Police have identified the victim as 18-year-old Denzel Bimpey from the Bronx. According to published reports the victim and two men had gotten into an argument in front of a building at East 26 Street and Park Avenue South.  Cops said the males repeatedly stabbed Bimpey in the chest, shoulder and arm.

Smoke Shop Thieves Sought by Cops The NYPD is searching for four males who robbed a series of smoke shops and grocery stores throughout Manhattan. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice December 15, 2023 MANHATTAN - The NYPD is searching for four young suspects in the robbery of multiple smoke shops and grocery stores throughout Manhattan.  Investigators are looking for the four men in connection with a series of robberies in grocery stores and smoke shops dating back to October. Cops said the first cases had the crew trying to skip out on paying for sandwiches and attempts to steal a tobacco grinder.  However, the crew upped their game by the fourth attempt. On November 15, the group entered a smoke shop on East 70th Street and approached the 23-year-old clerk at the counter. The men pushed the worker out of the way and went behind the counter where they removed $1,225 in merchandise.  

15-Year-Old Arrested for Robbing Teens at Knifepoint  The NYPD said it has made a second arrest in the knifepoint robbery of teenagers near a college and another location. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  December 14, 2023  MANHATTAN - A second 15-year-old has been arrested for a series of robberies in which young victims were robbed at knifepoint, the NYPD said.  Cops announced the arrest of a 15-year-old male this morning in connection with the two armed robberies. This suspect is believed to be the one who held the knife in the robberies.  The suspect has been charged with robbery. Police are not releasing his name due to the fact that he is a minor. Another 15-year-old was arrested during the last robbery.  The latest arrest comes just 24 hours after police released the suspect’s photo in an attempt to solicit tips. Trio Robbed Man with Kitchen Knives Near Columbia  The NYPD is searching for three young men in connection with a robbery in Morningside Heights. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  December 14, 2023 MANHATTAN - The NYPD is looking for a trio of robbers who terrorized a man with kitchen knives near Columbia University’s Morningside campus.  At around 11:30 am on November 22, a 65-year-old man was walking in the vicinity of  West 116 Street and Morningside Drive across from buildings for Columbia University. Cops said three men walked up behind him and displayed kitchen knives.  The robbers removed the victim’s iPhone and then fled on foot. They were last seen exiting Morningside Park at the intersection of West 123rd Street and Morningside Avenue. 

Knife Wielding Teens Rob Teens The NYPD is searching for this male in connection with two knife-point robberies in upper Manhattan. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  December 13, 2023  MANHATTAN - A pair of knife-wielding teen robbers attacked a teenager outside The City College of New York and another location, the NYPD said. One of the suspects has been arrested and another is still at large.  At around 1 pm on December 1, a 15-year-old male was walking on 138th Street and Amsterdam Avenue outside The City College of New York. Cops said two young men ran up to him and one displayed a knife. The pair forcibly removed the teen’s property before running off. 

NYPD Searching for Upper West Side Pickpockets The NYPD is searching for these two men in connection with pickpocketing on the Upper West Side on Thanksgiving. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  December 13, 2023  MANHATTAN - A pair of pickpockets were so brazen that they robbed a woman in an area clearly marked as an NYPD security camera corridor on Thanksgiving, police said.  Cops said the pair of pickpockets struck on the street at West 65 th  Street and Central Park West near Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.  At around 8:40 am on November 23, a 41-year-old woman was walking on Central Park West when she was approached by two men. Cops said one of the men distracted the woman, while the other reached into her purse and pulled out her cellphone and credit card.  The NYPD said the woman’s stolen credit card was later used   without her authorization. Body Found in Central Park Playground Identified  The NYPD is investigating a possible suicide in Central Park. -File Photo By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  December 12, 2023 MANHATTAN - The NYPD has identified the victim found dead in a Central Park playground with multiple cuts over his body. Police are investigating the death as a possible suicide.  The victim has been identified as 37-year-old Ian Stapp of Flatbush, Brooklyn. Stapp’s body was discovered at around 8:30 am yesterday in the vicinity of a playground at Center Drive and 62nd Street.  Cops said a Central Park Conservancy worker found the body in the playground which had multiple lacerations. Investigators said the victim had multiple cuts to his neck, chest and stomach. Cops found a knife in the victim’s pocket in he hoodie he was wearing.
