Midtown Man Beaten for Confronting Group that Sprayed him with Water Gun  The NYPD is searching for these three suspects in connection with an assault on a man in Midtown. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  May 31, 2024  MANHATTAN - A group of attackers beat a man after he confronted them for spraying him with a water gun in Midtown, cops said.  At around 8:15 am on May 20, a 47-year-old man was walking in front of 373 5th Avenue, around the corner from the CUNY Graduate Center. Suddenly the man was sprayed with a water gun from a group of males.  When the victim walked over to confront the vandals, they pounced. Cops said the attackers began punching and kicking the victim repeatedly throughout the man’s body.  The attackers then fled on bikes heading northbound on 5th Avenue.  The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.  The NYPD released surveillance video of the sus...

Although they wore masks investigators have already identified one of the suspects and have provided a previous mugshot. Grumpy Old Men Fight Over Fruit The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with an assault at a fruit stand in Chinatown. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice May 24, 2024 MANHATTAN - Call it a Chinatown beat down. Cops are looking for an elderly shoplifter who punched a 70-year-old man in the face during a fight over fruit. At around 12:30 pm on May 22, an elderly man was at a fruit stand at 281 Grand Street in Chinatown. Cops said the man tried to remove fruit from the stand without paying for it. When the 70-year-old employee tried to stop him, the shoplifter punched the worker in the face, cops said. The attacker ran westbound on Grand Street empty handed. Cops said the victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by EMS.  The NYPD released video of the suspect from the fruit stand. Anti-Semites Tag Restaurant with Hate Messages  The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is searching for these people in connection with the anti-semitic vandalism attack on Chelsea restaurant. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  May 22, 2024  MANHATTAN - Anti-Semites scrawled hate messages, including a swastika, all over the exterior of a Chelsea restaurant. Now the NYPD Hate Crimes Task is asking for the public’s help in trying to catch them.  “No Zionist Scum in NYC,” “The River,” “The Sea,” stickers were placed all over the front door to a restaurant at 182 8th Avenue. Cops said in addition to the stickers the vandals spray painted a swastika as well as the phrase “Zionism Out.”  According to investigators, the vandals struck at around 12:30 am on May 6.  The NYPD released surveillance video of the four suspects. The suspect simulated having a gun but was chased off. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice May 21, 2024 MANHATTAN - Don’t bring a simulated gun to a knife fight. A group of would-be robbers left  a bodega empty-handed after their “simulated” gun was met at the counter by an employee with a knife, surveillance video shows.  The NYPD released dramatic surveillance video from inside a bodega in the Heights. On the video, four men dressed in dark clothing walked into the bodega at 4380 Broadway at around 6 pm on April 20.
