MANHATTAN - A group of attackers beat a man after he confronted them for spraying him with a water gun in Midtown, cops said. 


At around 8:15 am on May 20, a 47-year-old man was walking in front of 373 5th Avenue, around the corner from the CUNY Graduate Center. Suddenly the man was sprayed with a water gun from a group of males. 



When the victim walked over to confront the vandals, they pounced. Cops said the attackers began punching and kicking the victim repeatedly throughout the man’s body. 



The attackers then fled on bikes heading northbound on 5th Avenue. 


The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital where he was listed in stable condition. 



The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspects.

Hate Crime Attackers Arrested - Cops Said

Police arrested three suspects in the hate crime attack on a senior in the Flatiron District. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice October 9, 2023 NEW YORK - Cops arrested three teenagers who allegedly beat a 72-year-old man and made anti-LGBTQ remarks. The victim suffered a broken jaw in the attack. Police arrested three teenage males ages 13, 14 and 16. Each was charged with gang assault, criminal possession of a weapon and hate crime - assault. Police did not release the names of the three suspects because they were all minors. At around 10:15 pm on September 15, a 72-year-old man was walking in the Flatiron District. In front of West 17 Street and 9th Avenue he was approached by three teenage males. The teens began making anti-LGBTQ remarks and then assaulted the senior, cops said. 96-Year-Old Female Knocked to Ground by Scooter Riding Chain Snatcher

Scooter Riding Robber Drags Elderly Woman to Ground The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a chain snatching that sent any elderly woman to the hospital. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  June 11, 2024  NEW YORK -  A 96-year-old woman was sent to the hospital by a scooter riding chain snatcher, cops said.  Police are searching for a chain snatcher who knocked an elderly woman to the ground. At around 5:30 pm on May 24, a 96-year-old woman was walking in the vicinity of West 127th Street and 8th Avenue. A man on a black moped rode up, grabbed the woman’s necklace and dragged the elderly victim causing her to fall. The robber rode off. The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital where she was listed in stable condition.  The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect seen riding the scooter.
