Follow @Bronxvoice1MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for two men who stuck up a straphanger at knife point while riding in a subway car on Lexington Avenue.
At around 3 am on August 3, a 27-year-old male was riding on a northbound E train riding on the F train line. Cops said two men approached the straphanger. One of the men pulled out a knife and both demanded the victim hand over his property.
The robbers grabbed the Apple AirPods out of the victim’s ears and then forced him to hand over $200 in cash.
When the train stopped at the 53rd St. and Lexington Avenue train station, the robbers fled the subway car.
The victim was not injured.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspects taken from inside an empty subway car.
The first suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion who was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a red and white graphic on the front, gray pants, gray sneakers and a red skull cap.
The second suspect is a male with a dark complexion who was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white graphic on the front, black pants, gray sneakers, and a black and red face covering.
