Large Group of Females and Males Rob Couple in Alphabet City

Police are searching for a group of females and males suspected of mugging a couple in Manhattan. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice September 25, 2023 NEW YORK - A large group of females and males robbed a couple in Alphabet City. Police released numerous video images of the suspects, some wearing shower caps and hoodies, others look like students. At around 3:45 am on September 17, a 22-year-old female and a 23-year-old male were walking in the vicinity of East 12th Street and Avenue C when they were approached by a large group of youths. Cops said the group of 8 males and 4 females surrounded the couple. The victims told police that one member of the group pulled out an unknown weapon. The group then pounced - forcibly removed the victims’ purse, wallet, cellphones and debit cards. The group then ran off. The female victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical treatment. Fanny Pack ‘Gunman’ Robbed Cyclist of Citi Bike

Cops are looking for this man in connection with a bike jacking in Chelsea. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice September 24, 2023 NEW YORK - A man in Chelsea was bike jacked when a gunman stole his Citi Bike. At around 4:30 pm on August 15, a 31-year-old man was riding a Citi Bike in Chelsea. At the corner of 8th Avenue and 17th Street, the bike rider was approached by a man with a Fanny pack across his chest. The suspect walked up to him, placed his hand inside the Fanny pack and simulated that he had a gun. Cops said the gunman told his victim he would kill him if he did not comply and get off the bike. The victim dismounted and the thief rode off on the stolen Citi Bike. The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion who is between the ages of 25 and 30. Muggers on Kick Scooters Sought in Series of Robberies

Cops are looking for two men in connection with a series of robberies using foot scooters. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice September 22, 2023 NEW YORK - Cops are looking for a pair of muggers who ride kick scooters and have robbed at least four people in lower Manhattan. The first robbery took place after midnight in Greenwich Village. At around 12:40 am on September 2, a 36-year-old man was walking in the vicinity of Greenwich Street and West 11 Street when he heard the scraping of wheels from kick scooters. Cops said two men on kick scooters rode up from behind and grabbed him. They forcibly removed the man’s cell phone and demanded to know the phone’s passcode. The robbers then rode off.  A man sitting in Tompkins Square Park in broad daylight was the next victim. Moped Riding Thieves Target High-End Headphones

Struck 3 Times in 1 Hour Police are looking for three men on mopeds who robbed three people in less than an hour. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice September 20, 2023 NEW YORK - A trio of moped riding thieves ripped high-end headphones off the heads of three victims in less than an hour, cops said. Police released photos of the three suspects riding three different mopeds. The crew has targeted victims wearing expensive headphones at bus stops and walking down the street. The one-hour crime spree kicked off at around 6 pm on September 12. A 28-year-old man was standing at a bus stop in front of 500 West 181st Street. Cops said three men ran up to the victim, ripped the headphones off his head, hopped on dark colored mopeds and drove away. Cops said the headphones are valued at $600. By Gwynne Hogan The City  September 19, 2023 This article was originally published on Sep 19 5:05am EDT by THE CITY NEW YORK - Adult migrants reentering city shelters will have just 30 days for that stay, an administration source familiar told THE CITY, while City Hall is also considering putting migrant families with children on a 60-day clock to leave shelters.  The new, shorter timeframe will apply to migrants in shelters who received one of the 60-day notices the city started sending out in July, with those beginning to come due this Saturday.  At the same time, the administration is considering further restrictions, including giving new entrants to the system just 30 days from the get go, as well as phasing in 60-day notices for migrant families with child...
