‘You Are Jewish’ - Attacker Says Police are arrested this man for allegedly attacking a Jewish woman on a Midtown subway train. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  October 25, 2023  NEW YORK - Police arrested a man in connection with the hate crime assault on a subway train in which the suspect is quoted as saying he punched a woman in the face because she was Jewish. Cops arrested 28-year-old Christopher N. D’Aguiar of East Harlem. He was charged with hate crime assault, aggravated harassment, assault and harassment. At around 11:30 pm on October 14, a 29-year-old woman was sitting on a Number 7 Train near the 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue Subway Station. Without notice a man walked over to her and punched her in the face.  Cops said the woman asked her attacker why he punched her and he told her, “You are Jewish.”

Fled on Blue Moped Police are searching for a moped riding chain snatcher in Chelsea. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  October 23, 2023  NEW YORK - A moped riding thief made off with a $1,000 necklace during a chain snatching in Chelsea, cops said.  Police released surveillance video of the suspect who was dressed all in black and was riding a blue moped.  At around 5 pm on October 19, a 39-year-old woman was walking in front of 215 West 17th Street in Chelsea. Cops said a man came up to her and ripped the necklace off her neck.  The chain snatcher then hopped on a blue moped and drove off eastbound on West 17th Street.  The victim suffered injuries and refused medical attention at the scene.  Cops said the necklace is valued at $960.  The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion. Moped Riding Attacker Caught on Camera Police are searching for this man in connection with an assault on an elderly man in Union Square. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  October 20, 2023  NEW YORK - An elderly man was sucker punched in an unprovoked attack near Union Square, cops said. The attacker took off on a moped.  At around 1:45 pm on September 27, a 72-year-old man was walking in the vicinity of 14th Street and Union Square. Cops said an unknown man walked up to him, punched him and then pushed. The senior fell backward into a large cement flowerpot.  The attacker hopped on a black electric moped and rode off.

The new video shows the two suspects as they exited the turnstiles to the  Broadway and 72nd Street train station. The first suspect has a light complexion and was seen wearing a red puffy jacket, black baseball cap, black shirt and black pants. The second suspect has a light complexion. He was was last seen wearing a black sweater, black baseball cap and dark jeans. At around 2:30 am on October 14, a 32-year-old man was riding a northbound Number 2 train.
