MANHATTAN - The NYPD is investigating a possible hate crime of a man caught on surveillance video scrawling the word “Jew” on the front of an apartment building in the flatiron district.


At around 8 pm on November 9, a man is seen on surveillance video walking up to the front of 131 5th Avenue. Cops said the man drew a Star of David on the building and then wrote the word “Jew” with a question mark on the door. 


The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating. 


The suspect is described as a male with light complexion and medium build. He is between the ages of 50 and 60.
