Man Knocked to the Ground in Unprovoked Attack Outside Stuy Town

MANHATTAN - A 69-year-old man was beaten to the ground and then stomped on during an unprovoked attack outside Stuy Town.
At around 9:50 pm on December 1, a 69-year-old man was walking down 14th Street when a man ran up behind him and punched him in the back of the head. The victim fell to the pavement outside 404 East 14th Street.
As the victim tried to get back up a second man came up to him and kicked him in the back causing him to fall again.
The attackers fled on foot southbound on 1st Avenue.
Police say there is no motive for the unprovoked attack.
The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital where he is listed in stable condition. He sustained injuries to his head, legs and hands.
The first suspect is a man with a medium complexion who is around 25 years of age. He is 5 foot 9 with a thin build and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a black watch cap, a black jacket, gray sweatpants, gray sneakers and a backpack.
The second suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion who is also around 25 years of age. He is 5 foot 9 and weighs around 250 pounds with a large build and a “chin strap” style beard. He was last seen wearing a black du-rag, a black jacket, blue jeans and gray sneakers.
