MANHATTAN - Maybe their next photo will be a mugshot instead of a selfie. Cops are looking for a trio suspected mean girls who beat and robbed a girl in the Heights and then posted selfies to social media. 


At around 6:25 pm on May 8, a 12-year-old girl was in front of 479 Audubon Avenue. Cops said three older girls approached her and then pounced. 





The females began punching and kicking the tween throughout her body. One of the girls ripped the cellphone out of the young victim’s hands. The attackers then fled on foot.


EMS transported the victim to Bellevue Hospital where she was listed in stable condition.  




However, apparently the three suspects made up their own wanted poster. Cops released a social media post of the three suspects. The trio wanted for assault and robbery posted a selfie of themselves together, apparently after the robbery. 


The suspects are described as between the ages of 14 and 18.

Hate Crime Attackers Arrested - Cops Said

Police arrested three suspects in the hate crime attack on a senior in the Flatiron District. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice October 9, 2023 NEW YORK - Cops arrested three teenagers who allegedly beat a 72-year-old man and made anti-LGBTQ remarks. The victim suffered a broken jaw in the attack. Police arrested three teenage males ages 13, 14 and 16. Each was charged with gang assault, criminal possession of a weapon and hate crime - assault. Police did not release the names of the three suspects because they were all minors. At around 10:15 pm on September 15, a 72-year-old man was walking in the Flatiron District. In front of West 17 Street and 9th Avenue he was approached by three teenage males. The teens began making anti-LGBTQ remarks and then assaulted the senior, cops said. Scooter Riding Robber Drags Elderly Woman to Ground The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a chain snatching that sent any elderly woman to the hospital. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  June 11, 2024  NEW YORK -  A 96-year-old woman was sent to the hospital by a scooter riding chain snatcher, cops said.  Police are searching for a chain snatcher who knocked an elderly woman to the ground. At around 5:30 pm on May 24, a 96-year-old woman was walking in the vicinity of West 127th Street and 8th Avenue. A man on a black moped rode up, grabbed the woman’s necklace and dragged the elderly victim causing her to fall. The robber rode off. The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital where she was listed in stable condition.  The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect seen riding the scooter.
